When we adopted our first ES, he was five years old and scared stiff of everything, including car rides. One way that we handled that was to find a drive through that offered pup cups. Our good ole boy Duke now goes to the window and gently takes the cup himself. He has very minimal fears now and has adjusted to life just fine.

Our new pup, Henley, experienced this same tradition today and it was a success! The ironic part of this is that we eat out and do coffee runs…pretty much never. Thanks to the dogs for living it up! Also, for the record, he removed the water lid himself. He noticed the condensation, licked it a little, then pried the top off and helped himself. Little independent mister is very smart. Now back to farm life!
